- Frauenkirche The Frauenkirche is a Protestant church on Dresden's Neumarkt, built between 1726 and 1743 to George Bähr's design and rebuilt between 1993 and 2005.
- Zwinger The Zwinger (German: Dresdner Zwinger) is a Baroque ensemble of pavilions and galleries around a courtyard, now home to museums of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden.
- Semperoper The Semperoper is the opera house of the Saxon State Opera Dresden (Sächsische Staatsoper Dresden) and the home of the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden; the rebuilt house reopened on 13 February 1985, forty years after its destruction.

- Kunstakademie The Kunstakademie building on Brühl's Terrace, designed by Constantin Lipsius and ready for use in 1894, is used today by the HfBK Dresden University of Fine Arts (Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden).
- Yenidze The Yenidze in Dresden was built as a cigarette factory and completed in 1909 in the style of a mosque, with a glass dome and a chimney disguised as a minaret.
- Goldener Reiter The Goldener Reiter is an equestrian statue of Elector Friedrich August I of Saxony, known as Augustus the Strong, on Neustädter Markt in Dresden.
- Elbe paddle steamers The historic paddle steamers of the Sächsische Dampfschifffahrt, run by Weiße Flotte Sachsen GmbH, were built between 1879 and 1929.
